How long does it last/ taste fresh? It's not vacuum packed.. We're not major fish eaters so I want it to be fresh.. Besides of course the safety piece.. Also, any easy recipes with just spices for a very short Friday, how long to bake it, covered/ uncovered etc? Thanks!!

If it's raw, it needs to be cooked or frozen right away. The most you can leave it in the fridge for is 2 days, but then it won't be very fresh tasting when you do cook it.

We regularly buy it Sunday and cook Monday, but wouldn't push past that.

We mainly eat salmon teriyaki

Thanks I really appreciate. It got delivered Wednesday night from fish store so technically is within 2 days. Planned to cook right away but had a small emergency... Maybe I'll try cook and see . If it's not a safety question, just taste question, I can throw out afterwards if doesn't taste fresh..

I bake salmon in the oven. Sprinkle olive oil, lemon juice, salt and garlic. You can sprinkle any type of green flakes to make it look nicer. Bake covered on 350 for about 40 min or so, depending on how well you like it done.

Best breading for salmon ever.
Thank me later.

• 1 cup corn flakes crumbs
• 1 tsp salt 
• 1/2 tsp black pepper
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 2 tsp smoked paprika
• 2 TB brown sugar
• 3 TB oil

Enough for 10 slices

Bake at 375° for 40 minutes
