The Kedushas Levi says that each night of Chanukka
is mesugal, an auspicious time, to daven for
different things:
15 NIGHT - Togetherness: not to feel lonely or
depressed.
2nd NIGHT - Shidduchim & Shalom Bayis: finding a
zivug and shalom within a marriage.
3rd NIGHT - Children: to merit good, happy, and healthy
children. The Chasam Sofer says that when we cry in front of
the neiros we can be sure our tefilos are answered.
4th NIGHT - Arba Imahos: to incorporate their essence.
To be a healthy and wholesome woman/mother within the 4
walls of our home.
5th NIGHT - Chamisha Chumshei Torah: we daven for
Torah to infuse our lives, that our husbands and children
should be talmidei chachamim. This is the first night where
more of the menorah is lit up than not. Accordingly, we daven
for more light and clarity in our lives.
6** NIGHT - Simcha: genuine, deep & unconditional joy.
7th NIGHT - Shabbos: happy and peaceful Shabbosim,
filled with zmiros and divrei Torah by the seudos.8th NIGHT - Pri Beten: special segula for barren women
to daven for children. The number 8 is above nature, and
consequently a very powerful day to daven.
