Is the ocean front room worth the money? With all fees it comes out to something like $500/night. Wondering if it’s worth the $$$?

They are not trustworthy. They do not guarantee a room, even when it's a confirmed reservation. They once gave us a ocean front room on the second floor, the ocean view was completely blocked by palm trees.
While we did have some nice experiences there, the past two were horrible. Not adequate air conditioning and construction going on with noise and dust and the lobby off limits. Certainly wasn't worth the 500 a night.

Unless you specifically want a hotel I would rent a house.
