I just realized Chanukah is over and I didn’t give my therapist anything. Am I supposed to?

Imo therapy isn’t a relationship that you give gifts. (I say this both as a patient and as a LMSW)

In many years of therapy, I only gave my therapist a gift once. During corona I felt that she had gone well beyond what I had any right to ask of her in order to continue in person sessions. Last Purim was a opportunity to express my thanks and appreciation for the efforts she had made.
I don't plan for it to become a regular thing unless anything like that happens again, and I really hope that it doesn't! Regular Chanukah gifts really don't seem to fit the relationship.

I don't give my therapist a chanukah gift, but I do give mishloach manos. When I asked what is allowed, I was told no real gifts. Something small and inexpensive is ok. So I usually give a small chocolate thing that's under 20 with another thing as a 2nd bracha.
Before giving anything, find out what her policy is.
