I did but it's only half a story...I mean some things are resolved but it ends with a major cliff hanger which will need a second book that didn't come out yet and I find that annoying.

Just came in here to check if anyone mentioned this.
I'm not a fan of Libby Lazewnik's books but DD just read it (and loved it) but was extremely disappointed that it didn't finish. She asked me to check if there's another part and I found "The Last Lie" which was released in April 2022. I think it's a real chutzpah to sell a book and not clearly state that you will need to buy the next one too in order to conclude the story.
How can a frum publisher justify this?

Great way to make sales. Release a book by one of the top Jewish novelists so people run to buy it. They read it and are so hooked it and are devastated that it doesn't end so they must go out and buy Part 2 as soon as it's released. So they get two sales in one!
