Nope. But I do use cinnamon sugar for topping instead of sesame seeds, when I make my round challot during Tishrei.
Then - with the honey that we dip it in - it really tastes almost like cake!

If I make a sweet Challah like that, DH says you can make a mezonot!

Do you all not work??
So jealous of your baked goods, homemade bread, etc.
I'll barely have time to make anything after work before the fast is over. Leftovers it is.

I don’t work
But I’m not really baking either
Don’t be jealous- I worked for 25 years
Everyone finds Something to eat… doesn’t have to be homemade
My heated up bagels from the freezer were delicious. My Lukshen cheese kugel that was in my freezer for longer than I can remember was so unbelievable tonight.
It all works out..

Chayelle you are very "geshikt", good for you!

Rolls (bought dough in freezer)
Vegetable soup (leftover from yesterday)
Lettuce salad
Mac and cheese
Coffee

**I did take my kids out of the house today instead of spending time in the kitchen***

We had:
cinnamon buns (a no-rise pizza dough recipe from here spread with sour cream then heavily sprinkled with brown sugar & cinnamon- sometimes I make a cream cheese icing but today they came out just as we were ready to eat, so no time)
Homemade ravioli (mazor doughs filled with an easy farmer cheese filling)
Pasta
Homemade marinara
My DD made sambousak (same filling as ravioli but in the mini pizza doughs and baked- we actually boiled a few before baking them, we call it pretzeling them)
I offered butternut squash soup that I had in the freezer, but no takers (it’s really good with the ravioli in it)

We had vegetable soup with toast and then pasta and salad. We prefer a light dairy meal to break our fast.

I work from home. I stopped at around 3 today, and am putting a little time in now in the evening.

My DD came home a little after 4 and pitched in. Food was ready literally at the zman. We were saying how everything was so good and hot and fresh. But it was a little hectic. Usually we are done earlier, and are re-heating everything.

Well, dd was home early from school. So she decided to make cookies.
I got home from work at 4, and put up just a small dough for rolls (5 cups of flour). I find baking bread/challa very manageable when I make a small amount.
Baked at 4:45, it was ready just in time

The soup was made the night before.
