Disclaimer.. I've never done dance.

That being said.. what's the dance about does she want to to be fast... Slow? Is there a message to it?

Hi, goforit.
If by "background", you mean something quiet enough not to distract the audience from the girls' movements if it has words, then you have a lot of choices:
ANY instrumental( versions of vocal)s from:
D'veykus
Neginah
Eitz Chaim/London/Miami/New York/Pirchei
S'dei Chemed
Mark Three Orchestra
Rabbis' Sons
Kol Salonika
Lev Tahor
Shalsheles
V'Havieinu
Hey, if you're in the mood for a minor-key number, even MBD's Yiddish rendering of "Close Every Door to Me" from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat: Lichtiger Shabbos.
Just how "upbeat/leibedig" or "slow/relaxed" does your daughter want the song(s) to be? That should be your first question.
Then look at the rhythm: Does 4/4 work best, or could the dancers to a waltz-time dance to it?
Shelley Lang, Harei Yehudah, and Aish also have some nice tunes.
Hatzlachah.

Does she need lyrics? There's plenty of great classical music out there to suit every taste.

Wow thanks for such a detailed list. Will check them out. She needs upbeat.
