This is how rumors start and spread. Now people will post theories and that will become the new story that is passed around even though it's just a fabricated story. So if you can't confirm that it's actually true maybe don't add to this rumor.

Why not?. Unfortunately the flu kills many every year. Right before carona a healthy 3 yr old girl suddenly died from the flu. It went so fast.
It unfortunately happens. It is especially dangerous for pregnant women.
That is why some ppl get the flu shot. Even if you get the flu it tends to be more mild.

More healthy children die of flu then carona

I think she was just correcting my spelling.

(I don’t think vintagebknyc buys into conspiracies of flu being mixed up with other tests - but I could be wrong)

I don't think it's mixed up. I think it's just a new variant that hasn't been identified yet.

Why does it have to be one or the other, why can't both be going around? My teen DC had corona a month or two ago (along with the rest of his/her school) and now has the flu (again along with the rest of his/her school).

There are several high schools in the tri state area that are closed (some of them just closed some classes or grades) or are on zoom because so many of their students are out sick with the flu. I personally know many of them who had corona already so I doubt they all have corona again and are just claiming it's the flu.

It's the winter. Many people are sick with corona, with the flu, with strep... iy"H should be mild for everyone!

In this case I think you meant to say dispel any rumors. In this context, dispense would not make sense.
