There is a 10 year old boy in Lakewood hospitalized with flu complications.
I know the family personally.

NJ is one of the current hot spots for flu in the US. For whatever reason.

The only place that is more of a hot spot is New Mexico. New York is "moderate" although statistically there might be hot spots in New York City which are counter balanced by lower rates in Upstate New York that aren't proximate to New Jersey.

That is what I was told yesterday. I was hoping the person I heard it from knew what she was talking about, but no, I'm not 100% sure.

Not everything will match up... a few years ago, I was critically ill with the flu (in the icu for a long time) and all the rumors that were coming back from close family and friends had different versions, such as which form of life support I was on, which other complications there were, even my state of life (my relatives heard that I was chv dead)... bh here to tell the tale... but b/c you are close to the family doesn't mean you have the correct info...
