Am I the only one who finds reusable sponges absolutely gross? I wash my dirty dishes with them and all I do afterwards is rinse it off the best I can... I don't think everything gets out. I use steel wool for tough jobs and dishes that are not delicate- I love that I can use a fresh one each time!! Is there something like steel wool for dishes that I want to protect from scratching?

You can sanitize cellulose sponges by microwaving them, soaking wet, for two minutes. They must be very wet because otherwise they can dry out and start to burn. I knoweth whereof I speaketh.

You can use a small towel or cut up a large one and wash it in the machine everyday
Sponges can be microwaved or put in the dishwasher
