Both my coteacher and I are sick in bed with fever. We’ve tried to get a sub but there doesn’t seem to be any available. What do we do with our group

You can ask parents to volunteer for parts of the day

Isn't it the principals job to find a sub? Or is this like a basement playgroup thing?

Assuming you mean private babysitter or it would be the school's problem.
Text the parents: we're sick and need to close today unless 2 mothers would like to step up and sub.
It would be nice to not charge for the days you're closed

As hard as it is for parents, just close the group for the day. They will have to understand.

You’ll have to close the group but please offer a refund for that amount of tuition. Parents will be having to take off work and lose pay. I think it’s only right…

Or they might make other babysitting arrangements which can be quite expensive. Definitely definitely do not charge when you are closed, if it wasn't on the calendar from the beginning of the year.
