I fully own a 2013 Sienna with 120k miles on it. We have it for 4.5 years and bh had very few problems with it. I am just curious how long I can expect it to last before it starts needing some kind of repair a few times a year. How many years/miles did yours last you?

My parents just got rid of their 2003 Sienna with well over 200k miles and didn't even junk it, they sold it to a mechanic who is planning on putting work into it and selling it to someone else.
We have a 2008 Sienna with around 130k miles and I hope for many more years. The biggest issue we've had is the electronic doors. We fixed it once under warranty which was extended to 10 years but we've had to fix it twice (!!!) post warranty which was over $1k each time. Other than that it's mostly breaks and tires with some occasional bigger repairs but nothing compared to what buying or leasing a car would cost.

We own our 2010 sienna. It has 89,000 miles. We’ve had it for 11 years. I’m sure it will still be good for another few years.

We've been driving an 06 since 2007.
We have had to put in with in the past few years and the electric door did break (only one side is electric on our van) but it's still usable, just not automatic.
Not interested in getting rid of it at all. The configuration is the best I've ever seen in an 8 seater and it's our main daily vehicle.

Our 2005 sienna has around 165,000 miles. Works just fine. Needs occasional repairs but overall is very sturdy.

We bought a 2016 2.5 years ago with 92k miles, now there are over 100k miles.
It doesn’t have power doors so that’s one thing I won’t have to worry about breaking Smile
Hope it lasts us a long time.

When you all say that your vehicle didn’t have any major issues do you mean nothing aside for replacing tires?
I own a 2013 for 2 years now. We bought it with 65k and we needed to fix the water pump, breaks, all new tires, replace the belt, battery and one other thing-don’t recall what, all in two yrs. Are you saying we have a bad apple or is that somewhat normal?

We have a 2005 with 140K miles. We have had to do normal repairs over the years (tires, belts, etc) but it is starting to show its age. We would replace it now except that car prices have skyrocketed.

We own our 2011 Sienna since 2014. Bought with 16,000 miles on it. We are now at close to 150k. Very few repairs, just the standard brakes, tires, etc. Iyh will drive it until at least 250k. - Ugly, wonderful, carpool/kd hauler. bh no door issues (common in pre-2011 siennas)

When we were researching what to buy we were told that they don’t have long a life span as Toyota’s.

we bought our 2000 in 2003. Just junked it this summer. it had approx 130k miles but we thought it got flooded in 2011 during Hurricane Irene! We didnt trust it since then but it ran! very rarely drove it long distances since then but it was used steadily around town. The doors were terrible for a while. We wanted to give it away but apparently something was very wrong with it and it wasnt worth the repair. But hey it ran 10 years after the flood!

if you buy a van definitely a Sienna. (now we have a 2016 since 2018)

Interesting. They are so popular also and when researching they rated higher in everything. I guess not in durability.

Bought a used 2010 Sienna in 2011 with 50K miles on it. Just sold it a few months ago with more than 200K miles. That was the point it had started to need repairs - both sliding door power cords had snapped and it needed more repairs than it was worth. We sold it back the mechanic we bought it from and it was snapped up the next day. I've already seen it on the streets again (it has certain identifying marks).

Basically, it lasted 10+ years and over 200,000 miles. After 200,000 is when the door cords snapped.

our 05 has 160k and runs beautifully. Our mechanic told us that if its well maintained it can go over 400k.

We were also told to purchase a sienna over an odyssey if we were buying used.
