Hi Snowdrop,

A question about shabbos meals, please:

We are B"H going to be in Scottdale for shabbos (in two weeks). I see that there is a kiddush at Chabad after davening, and Aavas Torah has a hospitality request option on their website.
However, although we are not a big family, we do not feel comfortable imposing or burdening anyone. Is the Kiddush @ Chabad a full one? Is there an option to pay and stay for a meal either there or through Aavas Torah? I don't want to start Shleping a cholent pot etc from NY, and it would be nice to share a meal with others who are local. Just wondering if there is a way to cover costs, so that we are not taking advantage of anyone's good heart.

Forgot to mention that we can stay in Phenox as well; not necessarily Scottdale. I haven't booked a rental yet. Trying to figure out what would work better for shabbos. Thanks again!

Spent such a long time, and was unable to find houses for rent that are walking distance to either one of the shuls Sad

The hotels that are walking distance to the Chabad shul are rather expensive. Any thoughts?

About to give up and cancel our tickets...I did not realize it would be so complicated to find Shabbos arrangements.

If it makes a difference, in terms of hosting (we are happy to cover hospitality costs): We are vaccinated, other than one child who has natural immunity from recently having covid. I appreciate all help and leads. Thanks in advance!

I live in Phoenix, so not sure about the Kiddush.

See now that you didn't find a place in Scottsdale. Phoenix is cheaper.

The main Frum area is from 7th st to 13/14st between Glendale Ave and Maryland Ave.

You can also reach out to Esther Bronstein 602 570 6575
She is a real estate agent but knows houses to rent as well.

Sometimes she can even find you meals.

What type of Shul are you looking for? There are 5 Shuls within 5 minutes walking distance?

Yes it's in an apartment complex where 80% of the 200 families are frum. Right in the heart!
There is the main Shul - Litvish Shul right there

There is a Bucharian Shul, nusach Seward shul, smaller litvish Shul and Israeli style.

There are not really parks in the area.
