Sorry didn’t know which forum to put this in.

I want to paint my living room and dining room a creamy brown color. I’ll try to attach a picture of the color I want. I have burgundy couches also. My question is, does light brown paint make rooms look smaller? The rooms are small to begin with so I don’t want a color that will make them look even smaller.
I’m not good with interior design and what colors would look best

Brown usually makes a room looks smaller. I tried opening up the picture but it's blocked by some I dunno what. It sounds like I need access.

The walls in the pic appear to be ochre, more of a golden beige than a brown:

No, I do not think that color will make your room look smaller.

I think in general lighter colors make things look bigger and darker colors make things look smaller.

I painted 2 houses in a warm, creamy beige color, very similar to the one in your picture. It was called Loft Light by Behr.
It did not at all make the rooms look smaller. It made them look neat, and gave them character, but created a light airy atmosphere.
I would say buy a small can and try it on your wall to see if you like it. If you buy Behr Marquee (most expensive) you'll only have to paint one coat. I think all the others require 2 coats.

As a general rule light colors makes a room look bigger. I have a tiny bathroom that is all white and it really doesn't look as small as it is.

That's true. But if op said brown and I couldn't see the picture I just assumed brown.

I actually just saw a house on Zillow and you can see the entry way, living room and dining room are painted a similar brown to the previous living room link I posted. I absolutely love the way the color looks in this house. However these rooms are spacious and my living room and dining room are not. I’m scared to go ahead with this color and then see that it makes the room have a smaller appearance. Don’t know what to do.

The color of the paint probably won't matter. How big are the couches relative to the room? Furniture scale matters.
