Good to hear we still have some democracy left.

Why isn't this discrimination against healthcare workers? Why are they still forced to vaccinate?

I agree that health care workers should have been protected from federal vaccine mandates.

But because Federal Government "funds" hospitals through Medicaid and Medicare,
they can FORCE people to vaccinate.

That is why Socialism = Slavery

As soon as you are dependent on Federal $$$, you are a Federal Slave.

Of course Psaki is spinning it as "employers should still do the right thing" in terms of enforcing it.

I told my husband that if my employer requires the booster, I'm quitting (I have a business idea in mind)

Employers don't enforce OSHA standards, and that's not what she said.

Employers can have their own policies and enforce them re: COVID vaccines.

This court ruling did not delegitimize that. This court ruling held that the current legislated acts regarding executive powers and OSHA don't enable the executive branch (ie. biden admin) to mandate this or, by extension, OSHA to enforce it.

It didn't rule that vaccine mandates from any angle are unconstitutional.

Congress can also change the related acts such that these things could be enforced by OSHA and via an executive order.

I would think they would also have the option of testing, right?

No, I believe they do not, unless it's a medical or religious accomodation.

No such option at this time if a healthcare facility receives payments from Medicaid or Medicare.

Because they pretend to be constitutional judges.

With the caveat that it doesn't apply to those who work remotely, and those covered by medical or religious accommodations.

Does this ruling rescind the NYC vax mandate for all employers?

No. This is only related to the mandate from the federal government being implemented for businesses with 100+ employees via OSHA enforcement.

NYC mandates are a separate matter.

Does it matter? There is no way to report a private business who is not in compliance of the vax mandate in NYC which means there is no way to enforce it so not sure how the federal govt plans to implement or enforce this either. Its a joke or virtual signaling to calm the nerves of anxious people who believe the vaccine works.

I thought they audit businesses for the employee records. (That's what my boss said when he asked us for our vaccine paperwork.)

I don't know who "they" is.
