My sister is due in a month and just asked for help signing up for insurance.
We checked Child Health Plus and she is over the income threshold.
She and her husband both have insurance on their parents plans so neither one needs yet.
What are her options for insurance just for the baby?

There is a thing called a child only plan. Most insurances have that option. They should call an agent and find out what plan suits their needs the most.

The cheapest would be for them to pay the full premium for the child health plus plan. It's about 200.00 per month, depending on the carrier. Every child is eligible for child health plus no matter how much rhe income is. The difference is how much they pay. Over the maximum threshold they pay the full premium (which is still their best bet)
Also, children under a year have a higher income limit. Make sure you checked that limit vs the standard.
