We wanted to take our kids to Florida for mid winter but the flights are so expensive!! Any suggestions for a vacation from the tri state area that would be nice for the kids but flight isn't too long? Prefer to spend under $2,000 for flight and accommodation.

No. I have 2 teenagers that aren't interested in that. Thinking maybe atlanta?

We did want pools. But teenage dd wants to chill, tan etc lol! I guess she will have to adjust her expectations.

Atlanta, Charleston, and Dallas should have well-priced flights and warmer weather than NYC, with fun and affordable activities. Or you could try other cities in Florida like Tampa, Orlando, Key West, and Jacksonville to see if you can find cheaper flights to one of them.

Would they agree to Kalahari or Camelback resort in the Poconos?
