Mango Green Bean Almondine
2 lbs of long frozen green beans
8 garlic cloves (y'hafta like garlic, add less if desired)
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
3TBSP water
1/2 cup olive oil
1 pkg of good seasons dry salad dressing roated garlic or zesty itallian
2 TBSP dijon mustard
3 TBSP honey
2 Mangos peeled and diced
2 handfuls of toasted slivered almonds
steam beans for no more than 6 mins. If you like them softer do it for longer. set aside
place all but beans, mango and almonds in a food processor or blenber and puree until smooth.
toss beans mango, and almonds. Gently heat sauce and pour over, toss gently.
I make the sauce, but do not use it all, it lasts for weeks if kept in the coldest, but not frozen part of the fridge.
If you make it for shabbat, rember that if the beans stay in the oven, they will get mushy!
