My preschooler has a very long afternoon at home with me on weekdays, and I'm trying to find some games that we can play together (We already bake and do some coloring/crafts).

We already have a bunch of matching games.
I cannot stand candyland or chutes and ladders!
I am not so good at coming up with stuff to build from legos/clics/magnatiles....

What are some other games we can play? He's is just learning his letters-- is he too young for zingo?

I believe we had picture Zingo and pictures sequence for kids. Puzzles are good. How do you feel about Sorry ?(I hate it). I would say go to Toys R Us and check the shelves but they don’t exist anymore. Go to a toy store and look around.

Zingo is perfect for pre schoolers. They don't need to be able to read yet, the tiles and cards have pictures on them.

Definitely zingo! Even my turning 2 year old can match them (though she doesn't understand the rules of course)
Memory games
We use a regular game of SET and adapt the rules for little kids
There's a cooperative game with chickens, can't remember what it's called but that's fun too
Crackers in my bed though I don't like the quality of the materials and don't think it will hold up very well
Spot it Jr

I've played UNO with 4yo. (Is yours 3? Maybe a little too young, but you can definitely play open face. Even 4yo would.)
Color and number recognition.
Learning and modeling good sportsmanship.

Tiny dot!
A great game with numbers - has multiple ways to play ranging from ages 3-7/8 so will really grow. Alot of the variations are not boring and a great foundation for the concept of numbers

My 3 yr old loves Risk for Kids, we don't follow the rules to the letter and she can play it for a straight half hour.
