Haircut for hair

I have very thick, curly hair. It’s at an awkward length and I’m looking to cut it. I don’t want to shave it, but I want it short enough to not have any bumps but long enough to manage beautifully. Thinning is not an option.
Any cute suggestions?

To not have bumps it probably needs to be shoulder length, or just the amount to fit into a ponytail.
