At what point is hand foot and mouth disease no longer contagious? My daughter has it now and I don't want to send her back to the babysitter too early..

As a playgroup Morah I ask the parents to have their child cleared by a doctor to come back.

Can you please give me advise? My toddler broke up over shabbos on his hands and feet and face with terrible ulcers and has had fever for two days.
His twin sister broke up with fever today, I assume she will break out tomorrow...
I assume it's hand foot and mouth disease from the info on google and will take him tomorrow to the doctor.

But how long did the symptoms last by you?

Hand foot and mouth is very painful and can last a week. When I used it it got much better after 24 hours and by the second day it was gone. Kid was in agony. Couldn't eat, couldn't talk, couldn't drink. Couldn't sleep. All because of the pain. I started on the morning. That night kid slept 2-3 hrs. It was major. Kid was literally up all night. Crying and screaming away.

Bh when my daughter had it it wasn't such a bad strain. she was home for 2 days and was not too kvetchy. I feel for you though. It's a beach to watch our kids go through it. Refuah shelaima!!!
Also if any of the ulcers turn raw or scabby make sure to put antibiotic ointment on it so it wont get infected

I’m pretty sure my son has this, is there a way to differentiate between this and impetigo… he has on his elbows and his legs are covered in pimple/sores, a few on his face. Also does goat milk help with symptoms or take away the pimples? How is it given? Orally or on the body?
