I had a doctor (specialist for my own meds. Not vaccine related at all) tell me similar. He wanted me, at age 21, to take meds not safe for pregnancy (ie go on long term birth control indefinitely) and told me it's fine bc he spaced his own kids far apart and that's perfect spacing.

Tells you everything you need to know about such a doctor.

You are the mom. This is your child. Your doctors grandchildren can fly to the moon for all you care. Zero bearing on your own decisions. don't let him pressure you.

I'd wait until the last minute which is when you're actually applying for a school in NY in a few years.

yes my baby is sick now he told us to cal back once shes feeling good to schedule her "birthday present" (she turned 1 two weeks ago and im lucky he let me wait 2 weeks...)

Re the chicken pox shot - you can probably get away with not giving it until you send your kid to school and they catch it. My kids school caught one of my kids without it in second or third grade, and the other in first. They had all other vaccines at that point other than this one.

Unfortunately I fully vaxed my now 2 year old mostly on time.
My 8 month old is a few months behind and I'm in no rush. I will postpone as much as possible. Unfortunately we still live in Brooklyn so it will be required before school.

I now know so much more about the gov agenda.

If you're vaccinated against the measles, you have nothing to worry about. I'm not (medically can't) so during the outbreak I kept out of public as much as possible as opposed to demanding the rest of the world vaccinate and wear masks to protect me.

If you cant find a pediatrician who will allow you to delay vaccines until school,

you can do without one and take yr children to an urgent care if they are sick.

Annecdotally, unvaxxed kids seldom get sick.

many also follow an organic healthy diet.

Doctors have a big financial $$$ incentive to get parents to vax on schedule. I e. no spacing

Insurance pays a big bonus for every child vaxxed on cdc schedule. At least 65% of the patients myst be vaxxed or doctor gets nothing.

That is why doctors are kicking out parents who wont vax or want to space out the vaccines.

I wasn't worried about myself, I was worried about my baby. And no one has the right to be spreading measles in the first place, or deciding that if someone doesn't want their baby to get a vaccine-preventable disease they should just keep their baby home for a year.

Look what happens when people say that if you don't want to vaccinate you should keep your kids home. Uproar over freedom violations. But it's okay to say that if you don't want your child to get a VPD then you should keep your child home?

The vast majority want to vaccinate their kids, not have their kids get VPDs. Why does a minority get to make health decisions for the majority? Talk about undemocratic and violating rights.

I guess that's why there's a healthy unvaxxed kid still in a coma from the measles outbreak in Israel right? He definitely bounced back to himself. As did the 1.5yo who wasn't vaxxed for it who died.
