ha ha. Yeah, that was pretty easy.
Anyway I am going to start using a map if and when I realize that it's in a continent that I am really not so familiar with like Africa or Australasia. It's not like I"m playing against anyone so why not make it a learning experience rather than just pointlessly shooting from the hip with random guesses.

Yes- today was my first time. Very easy BUT---- They left out my house and many others so I do not  want to endorse a Pro- Arab site.... too bad

It also bothered me but the game is made from a random algorithm and the creator got the maps from an online source. I think if he were actually anti Israel , Israel wouldn’t be listed as one of the country. I don’t think the game is politically motivated.
If however today’s answer had been Palestine , I’d sadly have to leave!

Well, the United States is going to be easy, Tuvalu is going to be hard, and Peru will be somewhere in the middle. Not much that can be done about that.

Lately though it's been very either/or.
I wish they'd do more of the in between ones, and just every now and then something really obscure or well-known.

I think panama , Cameroon , Tanzania, Uruguay were medium
And for nonJews Israel would’ve been much harder

In general I find Central and South America medium, as well as most of Asia - meaning I usually do get them, but on the final or penultimate guess.
Europe is easier for me as is the Middle Eastern part of Asia.
I almost never get Africa. There are so many countries and I'm just not that familiar with the geography of the continent. I also find all the tiny island nations of Australasia very challenging.
I'm also not great on visuals. I'm good at remembering which countries border on other countries (as in filling in a map) but here all you have is a shape, out of context and out of proportion to its actual size.
And so many countries do not have very memorable or distinctive shapes.
I think that Israel of course would have been much more difficult for non-Jews but, OTOH it is a country that is frequently in the news and it does have a somewhat distinctive shape so I think that it has a greater chance of being identified than many other countries.

Agree with most of this.
One issue I also had was that I don’t know what the distance measurement is. Capital to capital , I think ? Like it will say countries that border are 400 km away. So that messed me up a few times in the beginning
