The sun is out shining,
on this bright Purim day,
There is much more to do than just
sit! sit! sit! sit!
Turn up the music! Put on a skit!
Did you hear that bump?!
It made us all jump!
Hey, look! It's some friends, right here on the mat!
It's some friends, with some manos! Now how about that?!
It's a bright Purim day, and the sun is so sunny!
Let's laugh and let's dance! Have good fun that is funny!
We will show you one last trick that we know,
We'll gather our stuff, and out we will go!
Happy Purim!
(That's one version, made up on the spot, playing directly on the orig Cat in the Hat. I might try a shorter, maybe cuter version later or tomorrow.)

sorry short isn't in my vocabulary
When it rained outside and I had nothing to do
I decided to prepare a meshalos manos or 2
The papers were flying.
The foods all askew, but my mother would love it ,of this I just knew.
I could not sit alone when Purim was almost here
What if the cakes remained unbaked, of this I did fear
I had to get up and do my very best. I had to get going and pass this big test
No feat was too small, no mess would really matter
The main thing I think, would be to not spill the cake batter
I dipped and I stored I smiled and wrapped
I prepared it all, imagine all that
The only thing I forgot to do ...Was turn off the oven, when I was through.
My mother came home, the burnt smell did surround her
She saw my great efforts, were totally around her
She was surprised, of that you may know,
and as she glanced around, her eyes they did glow
This mesaloch manos she said, with almost a smile, will without a doubt, be remembered for quite a while!
