Hi,
I just remembered that I am supposed to take my son for a PCR covid test tomorrow morning with results coming back asap. My son will be having surgery on Wednesday iyH. Does anyone have recent experience or somewhere they recommend for fast turnaround? I am thinking CHEMED. Can anyone confirm or offer other ideas?
Thanks so much!!

I'm seeing friendly mentioned on some other threads. My son will be having surgery at chop iyH. Are all pcr's the same level? Like is friendly's a rapid and we maybe need something else? I'm confused. If anyone can help.. we need to do it tomorrow morning.

Friendly has rapid pcr tests. A van comes to them and the van is outfitted as a lab. So it's a pcr test but because the lab is right there and the sample doesn't get sent out you get the results in a couple of hours . Call them to find out what time the van is there.

Another vote for Friendly. Much quicker results. You get them same day (iirc, within an hour or so)
but it is a pcr.

Thank you!!
And hospital should be okay with this? Like I don't know the rules... Someone mentioned friendly is a rapid. Is that an issue as opposed to non rapid for a hospital like chop?

Friendly is fine.
My son just had surgery/procedure done at nemours and this test was fine.
They actually never got his results .they were supposed to fax it over to the hospital. But thankfully they had emailed me the results too , so I had it on my phone..
Hatzlacha.

Thanks. I can be hopeless w these things. So a rapid pcr and a regular pcr won't make a difference as long as it's a pcr. thanks....
