Since K5, DC has been to 4 different schools. Only one of them for a year and what a successful year it was but not an option to continue in. At the other schools, there were always personality conflicts which seemed to stem from DC's attitude. DC has been evaluated twice for ADD. No problems. DC has been evaluated for other causes. Found to have possibly some anxiety tendencies. They have been growing stronger this year so finally DC was able to see a specialist and just starting meds.

However what does one do if there are literally no more school options?

If your food is on medication now and his behavior had improved, would a school be willing to the him back?

I think that lots of times, schools are more fed up with the parents who are uncooperative than the kid with issues. If you were cooperative and can demonstrate that your child has changed, a school may have him back.

Although you may be not interested in the schools...

I imagine a new school a year will make anxiety so much worse. Sometimes kids have personality clashes. What was the reason he was switched so often? The schools kicked him out or you chose to switch? Can you bus him to the closest city/ town?

Where are you? I might have a suggestion. Also, boy or girl?

DC is not kicked out. Currently just hates school and doesn't want to go back. Yet has no trouble learning and is capable of good grades.

My DC just loathes school since mid-year this year.

In that case I would get to the bottom of what he hates. See what you can fix in his current school. Switching him so often seems to be running away from the problem.
