I highly recommend listening to this podcast. Rabbi Rothwachs is an amazing rabbi and over all person and I tip my hat to him for being so open with his daughter about a struggle that is without a doubt more prevalent in our communities, but so often, swept under the rug.

My son has an eating disorder. Is there a way to contact him? I need support.
Also, I just started listening to it. To those who listened to the whole thing, do you think it’s ok for my son to listen to it as well?

I didn’t listen to the entire thing- but I read the transcript and don’t see why not.

You can try his YU email :

Yes I think this podcast is completely fine for teens to listen to as well.
Rabbi Rothwachs is very approachable. I think someone put his email address below.

The podcast is mostly about the relationship between father and daughter during the years it took the family to come to grips with what was going on with their daughter. So take that in to consideration when deciding if such a podcast is for you or not.

Thank you for posting this.
My dd14 has been showing early signs of Anorexia which are spiraling pretty quickly. Just last night I realized this after she said I started to like how it feels to be hungry. Crying Until then I thought she was "just dieting" since June. Thankfully we have a very open relationship so I can be there to support her and love her. Watching this you tube by devorah Levinson from relief was very helpful. I need to call her today to help my precious daughter get through this! May Hashem heal her!
