As DH and I clean out each drawer and cabinet I proclaim "Kasher!" In that sing-songy mikvah lady way LOL LOL
(The way the mikvah ladies say it in Israel; no idea if they do that in English speaking countries)

This is a huge joke in my family (sibs and sibs in law). They do this in America too. Whenever my DH finishes pouring boiling water everywhere in the kitchen, he proclaims Kasher just like you described and I send the video to everyone.

Counting all the empty shoe boxes in the closet (no chometz there, but there was a tea bag all the way in the back!)

Finding last year's uneaten Matzah and Pesach Cereal in the pantry

Picking crumbs out of the floorboards

Locating the source of that "funny" smell in the fridge...

Lol.
KaSHERRRR....

just thought about it last night as I left the mikvah in the US of A.
When I lived In EY the ML would have a sing song "ka-SHERRRR"- going up at the end of the tune.
The ML here just says in a regular voice, like a statement "kosher", as in"I eat kosher food."

Finding things!!! So far we found my son's very expensive belt, on top of a tall seforim shrank - he drove us insane for the last few months. My BF found her son's tie that he was missing for a while - it was stuck under her girls' laundry basket. I also found a tiny silver spoon my great aunt sent to me long time ago, I thought it was long gone.

Can I jump the gun and say about after pesach? Taking off all the counter coverings and love how nice and smooth and clean it is.

I love this! I can hear in my head the rising tone on the elongated second syllable. I think I could have gotten it from the movie The Wedding Plan. Can anyone corroborate?

DUST!!!
Yes, I know it's not chometz!
But there's so much of it and it's everywhere, and before Pesach is the only time I move some furniture and vacuum it all away!

Also, finding stuff! Found 2 expensive items of mine today and an important key as well!

Finding that chocolate bar I'd hidden for a rainy day and forgotten about! Or stopping to read the book I found under the bed/couch.
