Does anyone know if/how I could make candied nuts with liquid sugar in a non-stick pan as oppose to baking it?

I make candied almonds in my pan, low flame. keep an eye on it, it goes from perfect to burnt very quickly. I use regular sugar though, but don't see why liquid sugar wouldn't work

You can heat up the sugar until it starts to color, toss in the nuts, and then turn them out onto foil or waxed paper to cool. If you want to toast them, do that first.
