There was a song I learned many years ago that I would love to find. It was in Yiddish which I barely speak but I loved the song at the time, and I recently heard it playing somewhere and had such good memories from it.
It begins with the words "de gantze velt" and says something about the "kotzker" in it. I can probably think up more lines in there if need be... Anyone recognize this? Know who sings it?

I know the song. They sang it in camp by a performance many years ago.

Di Ganza velt
Di Ganz himel in erd
Di ganza Bria, altz is gurnisht verdt
Nur ein Zach vus ? farmukt
Hut di kutzka gazuged

Zul nur ein minyan shtein Oifen vach
In Shreian huach nur ein zach
Shma yisroel hashme eloikeini
Hashem echoed

This is how I remember it from 20 years ago. I hope this helps. It’s hard for me to write English/Yiddish.

Yes I think this is it! Thank you!
The other words I was going to say I remembered were Shema Yisroel...

Anyone knows where it comes from?

I remember this song from Klausenburg camp. Just one change - I recall the 4th line as
Nur ein oitzer vus Hashem farmukt

I know the seventh line as Hashem Hiyu Eloikim
Not as Shema yisroel, but we may have sang it wrong 10 years ago.

I’ll try to find the tune somewhere.

Surprise it’s actually from Shalheves from 1997.

ETA I see I cross posted.

Seems like both line sevens are accurate.
They are sung in different paragraphs.

Track 7 der kotzker

This is exactly what I was looking for!
I searched mostly music, but somehow couldn't find it!
Just curious, do you know if this is the original, or did it come from somewhere else?

Thank you Thank you!

Thank you!
Can't open youtube, but the above link to mostlymusic was shalheves. So I'm assuming it's the same.

Funny because both versions sounded familiar to me - I guess they were both correct!

It’s Rosh Chodesh today. I think you can listen to music. Enjoy.
