I’ll be off my feet for 2 weeks but kids schedules are pretty regular
They weren’t in school Friday as we went away for shabbos

This way we can keep an extra eye on your kid, give them some extra tlc and understanding if they need it. While these things might not seem like a big deal to you, a parent being off feet for 2 weeks after having back a procedure can be a very big deal to a child, and it does show in school. (They might be distracted by it, doing more responsibilities at home, not having the same level of help at home, etc.) Kids also like to to share info with teachers, so it would also be a green light to believe them on this and be supportive upon hearing it from them.

Morah here - Refuah shelaima and yes please tell. The children need to be given a little extra wiggle room for any discrepancies and some TLC as needed.

Small things can be big things in children's lives. Even if officially everything in their schedule is normal. Teachers should always know if something has changed in a student's home life.
