Nili.
Stands for the well known phrase from sefer Shmuel
נצח ישראל לא ישקר

If I had the courage to be less traditional that I am, I would have given that name.

The following names were already ruled out:

TIA!

Exciting! Mazel tov or bshaa tova.I have chareidi friends who almost named their daughter Meira Golda basedon a relatives name and then realized how it would sound. But that could work!

IMHO there is no connection if you live in israel. Afaik no israeli would make a connection between Goldie and Yerushalayim. It's just kind of far flung.

Komemiut is Afaik a moshav in israel. Not really a name to give to babies.

Afaik Reb Chaim Kanievsky זצוק"ל was not in favour at all for names like Israela Daniela Meira etc. They all stem from men's names.
I know an Israela who changed her name after consulting with Reb Chaim.
I'm kind of surprised your chareidi friends even thought about Meira. In my circles nobody names a baby with a name stemming from a male name.

Meh. It would work fine, depending on style and circles.

What's interesting to me is that you don't like Komemiyut but you don't have an issue with Tekuma.

Or Tehalelya. I mean....why davka Komemiyut? I've heard of girls named Kamah. Boys named Nimrod. Afek, Ofek. Tamah. I know of a Shomriya.

It has a nice sound and a nice meaning, so why is it different than any of the others that aren't traditional names but just have nice sounds and nice meanings?

This.

Zehava and Golda are beautiful names, but they've got nothing to do with Yerushalayim. At least not to any Israeli.

I do know girls named Yerushalayim.

Vehu Yolichenu Komemiut L’Artzenu.

That is where the name of the moshav is from and it’s a very appropriate name.

Exactly. That's what I think of when I hear Komemiyut.

It's also the official Hebrew name of the Talbieh neighborhood in Jerusalem, for those who know it...
