what are your requirements etc.
I can recommend switzerland since you do not need to do any driving at all!
US based? Is flying ok? How far from home (flying or driving) would you go? Blue Ridge mountains is beautiful. What types of things do you like? I enjoy history so Pennsylvania has quite a bit to see. Natural beauty I would suggest Colorado, stunning mountains. I would also suggest Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon etc in Arizona and Utah. There is a lot to see and do you just have to be more specific.

Most of the big national parks involve plenty of driving, both in the parks themselves and getting to them as well. That being said, here are some options that we really enjoyed doing:
1) Fly to Seattle. You can then access all of these locations within a couple hours
- Mt Rainier NP
- North Cascades NP
- Olympic NP
2) Fly to Denver. You can then access all of these locations within a couple hours
- Rocky Mountain NP
- Pikes Peak
3) Fly to Las Vegas. You can then access all of these locations within a couple hours
- Zion NP
- Bryce Canyon NP
- Valley of Fire SP
- North Rim of the Grand Canyon

Southern AZ (the Sonoran desert region) is very hot during the summer. Northern AZ isn't as bad. I don't believe there is a daily minyan in Utah, though you can catch a shabbos minyan both in St George and Salt Lake City, I believe. Las Vegas is just a few hours from St George and has many minyanim and kosher food options.
