A store that sells "notions"- like Weiss Trimmings on 15th Ave, or Variety Corner (as mentioned), or Tip Top on 13th. (All in Boro Park)
I moved to LW for about 5 years now, and I find that there are those small items that I can't figure out where to buy, like 1 piece of ribbon, or wrapping paper, or velcro, or shoelaces, or an egg timer, or oaktag...

Buckles sells ribbons, velcro... similar to tip top idea just smaller.
Oaktag I buy in dollar tree

Ribbons - stitch n sew or buckles.
Center of town has almost everything.
