I hired someone from the UK and owe her $100. She finally sent me her account details so that I can send her a wire transfer, and I see that my bank charges $45 to send this internationally.
She doesn’t use PayPal or Zelle or Venmo, she’s a senior citizen, so I don’t want to ask her to do anything she’d think is complex.
What other simple ways can I pay her?

What about Western Union. It is not free like the other methods but it is cheap - about $10 and there are generally WU outlets all over so it is easy to pick up.
There is also Moneygram which is like Western Union but Western Union is preferable because there are many more outlets.
You specify what currency you want it to be paid - I.e. in your case you want it paid in American Dollars I assume rather than English pounds.

Wise have great international transfer rates. I think the best at the moment.

Or get someone in the UK who had PayPal send them the money and they transfer. Does she have a younger relative.I. in the UK and we only really use PayPal, I don't have zelle or Venmo either

Do you or her have someone you could pay the money to instead? Like if you have a relative in the UK, you could pay them the money and they could transfer to her.
