Has anyone gotten alert that their google account is out of storage. It is prompting me to pay for storage. Does anyone know what this means?
I tried deleting email and photos to no success!
All advice is welcome. Tia!

It takes 24 hours to reset.
Delete as many email as you can.
First delete your entire promotions list.
Delete it from trash too.

It doesn't free up storage unless it's deleted from trash too.
You can search for the emails with attachments as those take up the most amount of space by typing
has:attachment in the search box

The storage calculation is Gmail, drive, and photos combined when you get the message you click on it will give you a breakdown.

So it has nothing to do with space on my device?
I was thinking of inserting a SD memory card.

No it's free google space
If you use your emails/google drive etc a lot it may be worth it to pay the $2 a month for more storage

Not specifically related to items on your device unless you have automatic backups turned on. Most likely it's just items in email and Google drive.

Do you keep a lot of photos in google photos? It might be worth upgrading your storage.
