Some daycamps run a tc program for 7th and 8th graders and 9th graders can already be counselors.

That's hard we have day camps for teens here, so she's in day camp one half and sleep away the other. Can she got a job in day camp? Work in a play group? Be a mother's helper?

Working in a camp one half, going away the other, but in the past has done a specialty camp and a trip camp that involves sleeping at home.

Most day camps I know of have a bunk for 12 year olds. Sometimes it's really an 11 year old bunk but there are always at least a couple of 12 year olds who join because there isn't a full bunk for them. I have seen some camps have those girls be part-time assistant counselors and make a little money so they dont feel like they're forced to be part of a younger bunk.
Mother's helper is also a viable option at that age.
