I was in touch with a therapist, she told me she would have an opening in June and I was still deciding who I wanted to use, if I could do telehealth, etc. I told her I would let her know. I'm ready to let her know that I won't be using her... How do I say it (in an email?)

Dear Ms. Therapista:

Thank you for taking the time to tell me about your practice and services. Although I was impressed with your capabilities, I have decided that a different provider can better meet my needs at this time. Again, thank you for your time and consideration.

That sounds a bit intense.

I would just say “ hi and thank you for taking the time to speak with me. I’ve decided to go ahead with someone else at this time. Thanks, x”

I’m a therapist btw. We get this all the time.

Thanks. How do I say it without mentioning someone else. As in, I won't be going ahead now, something more general
