Our minhag is to not take in shabbos early, but shabbos is so late. Friday night I'm exhausted! Its a long Friday of cooking and preparing and taking care of the kids. I'm hungry though the day and eat my regular meals and then I'm eating again when I'm half asleep. I don't even want to be eating but it keeps me awake and my children get upset if I leave the table early or just sit without eating. They feel it's not shabbosdik. I don't know.
Am I the only one who has zero interest in a shabbos meal at 10 PM (and shavuos meals too)?!?
Forget having sx Friday night, Im just trying to be awake past kiddush.

Yep, but this is why we make early shabbos.I’m sorry that’s not an option for you

Try to take a nap before shabbos and eat a light dinner. Won’t be exactly what you want but you’ll be a little more awake

The key then is to take an early nap for 1.5 hours.

45 minutes is the worst.

Try to take a nap around 2 or 3 PM. Do your shabbos prep before then.
