If I bought 2 roast together when it was defrosted (assuming it came frozen and the store defrosted it), I froze it and now I want to defrost it but only use one. Can I defrost it just enough so I can take the 2 apart and then put the second back in the freezer?

If it's not fully defrosted I would think it's okay. Alternatively, you could bake both, slice, and freeze...this way you have one in the freezer that is ready for whenever you need it.

Thank you.
This is a good idea, but I like to cook it and my pot is only big enough for one roast.
