We give my kid’s teachers cash gifts throughout the year, namely Chanukah and Purim. Is it standard to give a cash gift at the end of the year? Or any other sort of gift? My oldest child is in kindergarten so this is my first time around the block. Thank you.

I don't think its standard.
I give cash for chanuka, nice MM for Purim (usually no money, I cannot afford it so close to pesach). End of year, I only give if the whole class is chipping in.
