Curious, how bad is it to serve fish sticks, macaroni, franks once a week?

Not bad if you also serve a healthy vegetable soup or salad or cut up veggies w/chummos dip

Health and cheap mean different things to different people. For me: a filling soup with whole wheat bread and eggs and Israeli salad is a great healthy dinner like split pea soup, lentil soup, carrot soup. Other ideas are whole wheat veggie pizza, taco salad, chicken with veggies and potatoes, lentils and rice, tofu stir fry with brown rice, quinoa with veggies and pesto and a little cheese, bean or beef or chicken burritos ( can stretch the meat)

I like the idea of split pea, bean and vegetable soups (using root vegetables). Tons of nutrition for a minimal price.
