And there’s no transportation from Boro Park. I’m out.

I live in Williamsburg but not planning to go to either one. Not because I'm against it I just don't do well with crowds . BUT the amount of pressure being put is not normal. Both dd and ds brought home forms . I got one in the mail. Phone calls from the mosed and the organization ( those calls I blocked ) a car with loudspeaker going around town...

Right? As if a car with a loudspeaker will convince anyone. Kind of funny how these people think.

You can buy tickets here - https://kinus.tag.org/

I think it’s controlling not to have buses from Brooklyn for the English event,
I guess I won’t go at all.

I'm curious how many of you assumed the yiddish and English versions will be the same content in different languages?

Also wondering who the coward that's passive-agressively hugging my posts, is?
Is this a personal issue for you? Do you still believe I have a narrative?

If you're talking to me because I suggested that it seems you have an agenda, nope, I don't hug strangers. This topic seems to trigger something in you. I hate to say this, but your posts come across as very condescending as if you know stuff that nobody else does and if anyone can't see it they are just naive. Everyone is just trying their best and it can be hurtful to be spoken down to. I apologize if I'm coming across rude, it's not my intention at all. have a good shabbos

I do now! Yikes.

My rav in Washington was the son of a Lubavitcher who left Satmar.
Had the Satmar attitude but the teachings of chabad. Was kinda cool.

I was addressing the hugger, so if it isn't you then wasn't addressing you.

This topic doesn't trigger anything for me. My trigger is when people assume things when they are clearly missing information and when they're called out on it or proven wrong - they can't acknowledge it. I don't like cowards.

I'm not sure why my posts come across condescending? I don't mean them to. I'm just stating facts that I know.
I call people naive when their posts are naive-sounding. Again, not personal at all. Just missing info that I gladly share. Take it or leave it.

Were you the one who assumed I have a narrative? Can't remember. This is an example of what I'm referring to. Just because I may have info that you may not be aware of doesn't make me have a narrative.

Approach a conversation with an open mind, and I'll respect that.

So many posters assume personal things, assume a narrative, assume a host of stuff instead of approaching a topic objectively. That's annoying.
See the many threads where an op asks a question and posters are all defensive and whatnot. It's tiring to watch and annoying to call out.
Sometimes I wish we can all converse without all the negative undertones.

I hope this clarified my perspective in this conversation and my intentions are never to be hurtful. Far from it.

Good Shabbos!

I received a note from my sons cheder that they want all the women to go, also the out of 12th graders. They are also selling us tickets and sending it home with our kids. They want us to go to the Yiddish one because the English one is not according to "our hashkafos".

English is Gonna litvish style. You could go, nobody's holding you back but they'll be quoting litivisha gedolim and speaking their style. Their having 4 litivisha gedolim speak there...

r efraim wachsman will be speaking at the yidish event.

I would love to go. as of now I can't see myself being out of my house, so many hours, the very busy timing, and not having the option to go home at my own convenience.

if it would be in my city I would of course attend.

I'm sure it's gonna be recorded which I want to listen to.

Did not read through all the posts - but just wondering if there are still tickets left? And can I bring a nursing baby?

I'm hearing that people called TAG and they are saying to call later in the day today to see if the tickets they gave others to sell are all sold out or there's some more.

Don't know about the baby - sorry!
