No matter what I do, my husband and son's wool tzitzis shrink after washing. Horribly. To the point that the tzitzis don't fit after 2 months. And they were so expensive in the first place.
All you balebustas.
Can you please give me step by step instructions how to wash wool tzitzis and with what, how to drip dry them, etc
They don't need to be sparkling white. We're Litvish, and they wear them under their shirt. But it needs to get clean.

I’ve been washing them in a mesh bag and haven’t noticed that they shrunk.

I scrub the stains with a soap bar and handwash it in cold water.

You just put them in a mesh bag? Several in a bag or just 1?
Hand or machine?
Do you do anything to the strings?
How do you dry them?

I Soak Tzitzis in cold water with a cup tide and 1/4 cup white brite (be careful, it’s strong). Soak for a half hour then hand wash and hang to dry.
Comes out beautiful.

I pretreat the stains with oxi.
I wrap the strings in silverfoil so they don't get tangled or unravel.
I put them in the machine on a delicate setting, no/low spin, with reg detergent and white brite in the bleach dispenser.
I hang to dry and steam them when they are still slightly wet.

Each one is a separate mesh bag. Wash in the machine and then hang to dry.

But I do this and they shrink.
So how do you hang tzitzis. Can someone describe the process.

I do similar to qwerty.
Some more tips. Use cold/lukewarm water so the wool doesn't thicken. Don't soak too long cuz black lines will fade. Soak and rinse all by hand, no machine at all. Don't wring it, roll it up in a towel. Ironing can be done while wet.
Some ppl hang it up on hanger to drip into tub. I like towel method better.

I found that most detergents, including regular standard laundry detergent, make it shrink. I went through so many until I settled on the farkas ready powder mixture and I follow exact instructions.

also, I put them in the machine on delicate after soaking for exactly an hour...
I put a white sock around all four tzitzis and put a rubber band around and then just cut it open after washing
