How does everyone have their kids pleated uniform skirts so perfectly ironed down?

I used to put clothes pins on them while hanging to dry. Now I have no time for that so I just send to the cleaners a few times a year.

When you get them new perfectly pressed, maintain them. Don't shmush into hamper (I have my girls neatly lay them on top of the washing machine). Wash on cold. Hang to dry.

Wash the uniforms in cold water, gentle cycle, don't overstuff the machine and hang them to dry right away. I've never had to iron the uniforms. They come out perfect.

I was terrified of the pleated skirts because I really don't iron anything at all. But it turns out that with the material they use it just holds its shape well. I wash and hang and they are perfect every time.

I came to say the same. My daughters pleats in June look as good as they did in September because this is what we do too

really hanging makes a lot of difference
the drier realy ruins the pleats and they are so hard to iron afterward
I hang to dry and they are ready to wear

It depends on the fabric of the skirt.
I find the plaids are usually thick and stay pleated all year. The solids are thin and hard to iron. Wish I’d find the solid in the same fabric as the plaids.
I never dry either one and only wash on cold.
