I find that if I do a task that takes under 3-5 minutes my house stays neater. And the cleanliness and organization ends up rolling into other parts of my life. A big plus is many things if tended to right away for example sweeping few times a day keeps the floors cleaner and it’s easier to upkeep. So, what do you do?

Unload dishwasher so there's a place for dirty dishes to go in right away if you have one.

Otherwise clear dish racks from dried dishes so you can wash things quickly and have somewhere to put them.

(My house isn't clean but I can give ideas I wish I implemented 😉 )

Make the beds. 30 seconds per bed.

Take clorox wipes and wipe down the bathroom.

Sweep a room

Most jobs can be broken down into pieces that take just a few minutes, except, perhaps, cleaning the oven. Cleaning isn't all-or-nothing. Not even the bathroom. You can clean the toilet one day, the shower another day, the floor a third day and the sink yet another day. You can just swoop dirt off the toilet seat with a tissue or swoosh a brush in the bowl or wipe down the base any time you notice it's looking a bit grungy.

The key is NOTICING that something needs attention.

Make beds, dirty clothes in hamper, clean clothes out away, have Clorox wipes around, have a basket to misc things till you have a chance that evening to put away, keep surfaces clear, set a timer before you leave the house/meal etc and have your kids help you clean up, sweep/use a dust buster
I also got a Swiffer that helps after meals etc

Wow Im intimidated.

When Im short on time or not in the mood, I put 5 things away in their place
And then another 5 things if I can be bothered.

Sometimes Il sweep under the kitchen rable, cos thats the area you see as soon as you come in.
