I'm not sure but you can definitely give it a try since I know some people do use these types for swimming and not just excercise.

I was thinking of getting it for when I take my kids to the Waterpark. I probably won't go on any rides but still more convenient to be in a outfit that can get wet. For regular swimming I don't use a cover-up.

I got one from Amazon from Esteez brand. It's so lightweight and dries very quickly.

I bought this but the neck was very wide on me. It could be because I’m 15 pounds overweight and had to buy a bigger size. Since the rest of the garment fit me well, I ended paying a seamstress to take in the neck. It was easier than shopping around.
