Willing to fly to drive, up to 5 hours. Kids ages 3-9.
Any suggestions? Don’t want a place that only has hiking as activities.

NH and VT are nice in the summer, but may be more than 5 hours from NJ. Colorado is beautiful in the summer and definitely has more to do than just hiking. I also think the Pacific Northwest - Washington, Oregon, and Vancouver/Whistler is underrated for the beautiful scenery and activities there, though flight times from NJ are closer to 6 hours.

Vermont is not close to NJ. But it is in the 5 hour window you want. Not knowing where in NJ you live but north Jersey should be doable
In Berkshires go to jiminy peak. There are tons of threads about the activities there
