We love nature. Want to get out of the tri-state area but gas & flights so expensive + we have a brand new baby. Any ideas?

Tannersville/Hunter is beautiful and not such a long drive. The Poconos is another option. Onset in Cape Cod is also really nice and outdoorsy.

Use points for hotel. I like the Poconos going somewhere without kosher food (meaning: you have to bring from
Home) is automatically going to save you tons of money.

We once did a really nice Connecticut vacation with a baby. Not a lot of driving.
Not super exciting. But relaxing.
Sheffield island lighthouse in Norwalk. Take ferry there. tour lighthous. Picnic.
Visit one of the Connecticut beaches in the evening.
Gillette castle. Can take small car ferry there or back. Can also take local train ride.
Norwalk also has an aquarium

Any trips with hiking focused on nature are beautiful and cheap.
Poconos/bushkill/Scranton area
Tannersville/hunter - north lake/south lake park, minnewaska state park hike, hunter mountain ski lift or hike
