I have a chance to buy a new shaitel for a very good price, but I don't need it now. Is it worth it to buy and keep for a year? Will it still be new when I want to use it? How should I store it?

Styles change in a year, are you sure you'll still like it then? If yes you can store it in a wig box, it should last just fine.
